Dr. Samuel joined Coastal Pulmonary and Critical Care in 2012 and brought with him the training to perform a new procedure that no other physician had performed in St. Petersburg called the Endobronchial Ultrasound.
Dr. Samuel graduated from the University of Miami in 2002. He then attended Ross University School of Medicine graduating in 2006. He attended the University of Florida for his Internal Medicine residency and his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. While there he served on the Infection Control Committee and Multidisciplinary ICU Care Committee at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Samuel is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He performs not only Endobronchial Ultrasound but also Electromagnetic Navigational Bronchoscopy, saving patients from longer recovery time than traditional lung surgery and diagnosing multiple lung conditions, including cancer. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, The American Thoracic Society, and The Pinellas County Medical Association. He also presents community lectures at St. Anthony’s Hospital educating patients on COPD, lung cancer, and Asthma.
Dr. Samuel is involved with multiple research studies. He is the Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine at St. Anthony’s Hospital where he is on staff. He is also on staff at Bayfront Medical Center and Kindred Hospital St. Petersburg.
In his free time Dr. Samuel enjoys fishing, basketball, and spending time with his family.
