Dr. McGarvey joined Coastal Pulmonary and Critical Care in 2019 with a focus on compassionate care.
He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Dr. McGarvey graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. He then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating in 2013. He attended Georgetown University Hospital for both his Internal Medicine residency and his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship. While at Georgetown, he was recognized for embodying the spirit of Cura Personalis, or caring for the whole person.
Dr. McGarvey is Board certified in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He performs Robotic Navigational Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound, and indwelling Pleural Catheters. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
Dr. McGarvey is involved with multiple research studies. He is on staff at BayCare’s St. Anthony’s Hospital, Orlando Health’s Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, and Kindred Hospital, St. Petersburg.
In his free time, Dr. McGarvey enjoys football, visiting Disney, and spending time with his family.
