Coastal Pulmonary and Critical Care welcomed Dr. Ahmad when he joined the group in August of 2016 after completing his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at The University of South Florida.
Dr. Ahmad is a Florida native. He grew up in Bartow, Florida. He graduated from The American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2009. He then studied at the Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency. While there he was a member of the State of Maryland Infection Control Committee. He was the Chief Fellow at the University of South Florida during his Pulmonary/ Critical Care Fellowship. He also participated in several research studies while at USF.
Dr. Ahmad is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He performs the EBUS procedure and navigational bronchoscopy and also the placement of trachea-bronchial stents.
He is a member of The American Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians.
