Dr. Luciano was a welcome addition when he joined Coastal Pulmonary and Critical Care in July of 2007. He is known by his patients as an extremely compassionate and knowledgeable physician.
He was born and raised in Puerto Rico where he attended The University of Puerto Rico in Mayaquez. Dr Luciano then attended The Ponce School of Medicine where he graduated Magna cum laude. During his time in medical school he worked with the surgeons at the Mayaguez Medical Center and later as a teacher and assistant in the genetics laboratory. He then attended the University of South Florida where he completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency followed by his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Luciano has served as Chairman of Critical Care at Edward White Hospital and Director of Respiratory services at Bons Secours Maria Manor. He currently is the director of Respiratory Medicine at Bayfront Medical Center and a part of the Sepsis Committee there. He is also on the Code Blue Committee at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He has presented multiple community lectures on pulmonary diseases.
He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and The Pinellas County Medical Association. Dr. Luciano is involved in multiple research studies for COPD, Asthma, and respiratory diseases.
Dr. Luciano has earned a reputation for providing his patients with the highest quality of care.In his free time Dr. Luciano enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
